Jews in Modern Art – Lunch & Learn
Event Description:
Jews in Modern Art – Lunch & Learn
Join Fairfield University’s Bennett Center for Judaic Studies and The Jewish Federation of Greater Fairfield County in exploring iconic works by pioneering Jewish artists like Pissarro, Chagall, Soutine, Modigliani, Rothko, and more — all within a rapidly changing world filled with both new opportunities and new dangers for Jews. We also consider the crucial impact of Jewish collectors, antisemitic critics, and finally, Nazi looters.
