Guest speaker Beatrice Weber is an education advocate, author, and TEDx speaker. Born and raised in the Chasidic Jewish community, she was married off to a Rabbi at age 18, never graduating high school. After 22 years and 10 children, she left the marriage with her four youngest children and began exploring living a self-determined life. Beatrice now holds an MBA and is a Senior Advisor at YAFFED, an organization that advocates for education for Chasidic children.

She will share her journey from a silenced Chasidic woman to an outspoken activist. She discusses her personal experience growing up in the Chasidic community, getting married at 18, raising children, the process of leaving her marriage, and eventually the community and its impact on her and her children. She also covers some of the most serious issues facing the Chasidic community across the globe, including lack of education and how that impacts all of us.
